Synopsis:
In this follow-up to Clipped Wings, the emotional love story continues between Hayden and Tenley; two young people who desperately want to love and be loved but are afraid to completely let go of their pasts.
In the wake of losing Tenley Page, tattooist Hayden Stryker's tumultuous past is haunting him. Plagued by nightmares about the murder of his parents, Hayden reaches out again to Tenley. Having run from the man she doesn't believe she deserves, Tenley finally lays her guilt to rest. Despite their intense physical attraction, Hayden and Tenley struggle to repair their fragile emotional connection. As Hayden gets closer to the truth, he must find a way to reconcile his guilt over his parents' death in order to keep the woman who finally cracked his armor, and found her way into his heart.

After reading Clipped Wings I was devastated.. I was so devastated that Tenley left because I thought that what Tenley and Hayden had was unbelievable. You could just feel the love.
In Inked Armor, it's about Tenley and Hayden finding their way back to each other and about fighting their demons together. The book picks up where Clipped Wings left off. Tenley is still in her home town while Hayden is losing it because he just wants Tenley back.
It was heartbreaking to see the demons of Hayden's past effect him so badly. All he ever needed was Tenley to help him conquer his demons.
"For me, she would always be the light in my darkness."
When Tenley finally returns, I kind of wanted to cry. Tenley had been through such a huge loss in her life but she had such strength. It was difficult to see her struggle but it was always amazing to see her bounce back with the help of Hayden.
"She wore her loss in an armor of ink, just as I did."
Tenley and Hayden are two characters and I fell in love with immediately in Clipped Wings. Neither were cocky or arrogant.. they were truly as normal as you can get fighting their way through life after terrible circumstances. Watching a couple overcome so much together was amazing to watch. Tenley and Hayden definitely deserved the happiness they got, together.
"In this, we were marked by one another. It went far beyond ink on skin. It went right down to the soul. In this life, for as long as we had, we could be each other's armor."
^^LOVE^^
