::Sigh:: This book was just sigh worthy. It was adorable, steamy, and had so much tension!!!
Three months after Alexandria's father passes away from lung cancer, she goes off to college. Her cousin Jimmy offered his space in an apartment with his roommate Ellie. When Alex arrives at the apartment, there is a huge party going on. She encounters and intriguing guy who won't stop looking at her.. all she wants is to find her roommate Ellie and get some rest..
As luck would have it, her roommate Ellie is not a girl but a very good like guy name Elijah. Elijah is suffering from his own loss. To make ends meet, we does some illegal things. He always likes to bring tons of women home.
Elijah and Alex have crazy crazy sexual tension going on between them and there were times I just want push them both together and say "GO AT IT ALREADY!!" Elijah finds himself very protective of Alex. He tried to convince himself it is because of their fraternity code. Since Jimmy, Alex's cousin, was part of the fraternity, Alex sound remain untouched. Plus, Alex has a crappy boyfriend Liam. Eventually, things unfold and the tension becomes too much for the both of them.
"I don't need material things. Ever since I lost my family, this is all I ever wanted back, to have a home, a family. All I wanted was clarity in my life. Something that made sense, something that I could hold onto, someone I could love without a doubt and be my home. Alex, you're my clarity. You. Are. My. Home."
My Clarity definitely made me want to pull my hair out (in a good way) because of all the tension.. then it made me smile no stop. Like every new relationship, it had its ups and downs but Elijah gave 110% to Alex the minute he committed. It was actually very refreshing to watch. I loved to watch them fall in love with each other. I loved watching Elijah stop his bad habits in order to take care of Alex. I just loved it all.
"I think I'm falling in love with you, Elijah Cooper"
"Good, because I'm already in love with you."
Although it was a quick read, it was worth it. To read a book that is so refreshing. I dare you not to fall in love with Elijah and Alex.
